Hello Tiger

So I am making some educational wall art for the school before art classes start. The first one I am making is called 'Land Animals'. I couldn't find felt (believe it or not!) so I am using fomic sheet instead. It's such a wonderful material. I'm so glad I found it.

Here's one for you,

MIA for the Better

I know I've been missing from action for quite some time now. To tell you the truth, I haven't felt like blogging until now and all because there was something or the other that was bringing me down big time.

I had planned so much for this Ramadan but because of my chickenpox, everything went down the drain because I just wasn't well. But thankfully, that is over and there's always next year right. Although I still have time to wish everyone a very Happy Ramadan so Yeay! :)

But then followed the depression. After the Islamabad plane crash, our country saw one of the world's worst floods ever. As if the constant price hike, poverty, bombings, corruption weren't enough, we now have to worry about the consequences of massive flooding in an agricultural country. And I don't even want to mention the kind of crimes that are happening around here. It's all too horrible. However, I've decided to come out of this depressive, demotivating hiatus because it's not doing me any good.

The Good Part:
My family has recently taken over a small school nearby and we're all very excited about it. Since I'm taking care of their collateral, I really want to share what I've been making for them.

A Pinch of Heaven

If you're living in a place where people have moved beyond third-world issues (beyond worrying about dying in a bomb blast or the price hike or the police itself), you won't think craft supplies are a big deal. But for someone like me, someone who has yet to step into a 'Craft Store' and get a chance to look through shelves and shelves of fresh paper stock, fancy punches, stamps, die cuts, embellishments and what not... this is almost like heaven.

My sister brought me this from her trip to Boston...
Su-weeeeeeet :)

And then I got motivated out of my chicken pox to make this...
